What You Learn
I absolutely love this class. Chef teaches you how to sort fish into categories based on shape, color, size, fin orientation and other outstanding characteristics. We use this information to help identify the exact species and then reference a book to learn interesting trivia facts about them.
All California Sheephead Fish (photo above) start as females. Then the dominant fish of the group changes color, shape, and sex and becomes male. In the photo, is this a male or a female? After you take Chef’s Fish I.D. class you will know the answer. \
